The French midfielder rolled back the years on Friday evening with a stunning header to put the visitors in front at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. After left-back, Zakaria Al Hawsawi, sent in an inch-perfect cross, Kante flew in to head home in the 12th minute to draw first blood in the league encounter.

However, Al-Ittihad's joy was short-lived as the hosts fired in three goals to emerge triumphant. Saleh Alshehri equalised in the 39th minute and in the second half Malcom and Saud Abdulhamid found the net to extend their lead to nine points at the top of the table over Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr.
