Derby County’s 4-1 home battering at the hands of Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds marked the Rams’ first loss of the season, and the first defeat of Frank Lampard’s managerial career.
Bielsa’s side were utterly dominant upon their visit to Pride Park, though they were assisted by some pretty porous defending on Derby’s part. Lampard was handed an early lesson in football management last night, and will need to respond quickly to ensure that his side bounce back from this disappointment.

The ex-Chelsea midfielder needs to learn from this experience and may well have some big selection decisions to make, given some of his player’s showings yesterday, before their next match.
Derby fans can’t have been pleased with what they saw against Leeds and will be hoping that Lampard has the answers.
Whilst many of the Pride Park faithful understand that Lampard needs to be shown patience and are supportive, others feel the wisdom behind his appointment must be questioned.
